This world famous art deco theatre and cinema has been a client of ours for many years. When they reached their fundraising target with assistance from the national lottery a marketing campaign and relaunch was imminent...
The Plaza was initially resurrected around ten years ago having been previously neglected for many years. The team tasked with managing the venue have spent the last decade fundraising and putting together proposals to rejuvinate the beautiful Art Deco building. Last year with the help of a National Lottery Grant they were able to see their plans come to fruition and brought us on board to oversee the massive marketing and promotional campaign required to orchestrate this grand reopening.
The theatre closed temporarily for a year prior to the relaunch allowing us a good amount of time working hand in hand with the venue’s managers to iron out every last detail and put together a comprehensive overview of what was needed to push the Plaza to the next level.
Our designers produced a vast number of promotional articles including: listing brochures, invites, bar menus, signage, posters, flyers, press ads, and even sweet wrappers. The key item for the day of the relaunch was a replica of the original programme of events from 1932, this proved to be a hugely complex task involving scanning, cleaning and enhancing over 40 pages of content before adding additional details in keeping with the 30’s design! The relaunch was a huge success with the Plaza going from strenth to strength with the continued support of the 24 Media Group.
